About PM SHRI EMRS Kadana

Welcome to our dream come true - PM SHRI Eklavaya Model Residential School Kadana

In the context of the trend of establishing quality residential schools for the promotion of education in all areas and habitations
in the country, the PM SHRI Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) for ST students take their place among the
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas and the Kendriya Vidyalayas.

Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) are set up in States/UTs with grants under Article 275(1) of the Constitution of India. States/UTs are free to apportion funds out of their Article 275 (1) Grants to construct and run additional EMRS over the number sanctioned by the Ministry.

Establishment and Funding:

The schools are established by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, with grants under Article 275(1) of the Constitution.

Implementation:

The scheme is implemented by the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS).

Location:

EMRSs are typically located in tribal-dominated blocks, with the goal of having at least one EMRS in each block with a significant tribal population.

Features:

These are fully residential schools, providing accommodation for students and staff, and are equipped with facilities like mess, playgrounds, and amenities similar to Navodaya Vidyalayas.

Curriculum:
